In 2014 Joost followed the choral conducting application course at the Utrecht Conservatory, participated in various training courses for choir and orchestra conducting, and afterwards he gained a lot of experience. For instance, he worked as a repetiteur with USKO, Camerata Vocalis, Qui Vive and Personare, among others. He has gained experience with women's choirs, men's choirs, musical theatre groups, Renaissance groups and baroque ensembles.
Partly due to his extensive experience as a singer with the best choirs in the Netherlands, Joost has developed an efficient way of working, a critical ear and a pleasant beat technique as a conductor. His enthusiasm, humour and melodious voice contribute to a pleasant working atmosphere.
Currently, Joost works as a conductor with AMSGMC EnQuiVive.org.
